GRAND MAS DE LANSAC
The history of the estate is closely linked to the family history of Michel Montagnier, the owner of the estate. Count Raoux de Raousset founded the estate nearly 250 years ago. The estate was taken over in 1880 by Franciscan monks, who sold it to Michel's great-grandfather in 1905! Throughout all these years, the winegrowing vocation has endured. Today, Michel cultivates 50 hectares of IGP Alpilles vines. But techniques have evolved with the times: grapes are now harvested at night to keep them cooler and to better control fermentation. The dozen or so cuvées on offer (in all 3 colors) regularly win awards. The latest: silver and bronze for the Rouge Alpilles, Rosé Alpilles and Maudalisa cuvées at the 2016 Féminalise World Competition.
