CHÂTEAU COUSSIN SAINTE-VICTOIRE
A reasoned viticulture for generations.... Château Coussin Sainte-Victoire is a very old wine-growing estate whose vineyard is said to be among the oldest in France. It must be said that vines have been cultivated in the region since Gallo-Roman times. This estate owes its name to Jean-Baptiste Coussin, a lawyer at the court of Aix who bought it in the 18th century. Today, the Sumeire family manages the estate and its château, which produce AOC sainte-victoire and AOC côtes-de-provence. Some vintages are exceptional. The boxes of the Château Coussin vintage heads pay tribute to the work that César did for the Sumeires in 1987: a collage of labels from the house. The latter have two other prestigious estates: Château Maupaque (AOC sainte-victoire) and Château l'Afrique (in the Var).
