Conviviality, grills and pizzas at Le Garde, a guinguette-style restaurant open all year round in Vauvenargues.
Old-timers will be familiar with this roadside restaurant on the outskirts of the village, where a gamekeeper lived in the 1950s and is said to have cooked delicious game dishes. The place has kept its name and its authenticity, and the atmosphere is friendly, even festive, like a guinguette on a summer's evening. We love the à la carte menu, fresh daily produce, grilled meats and wood-fired pizzas. Stop in for a glass of good local wine and a platter of charcuterie or cheese. Good humor is the order of the day. It's like being among friends.
