MUSEUM AND VILLAGE OF VENTABREN
The pretty perched village of Ventabren is worth visiting. You should walk around in its back alleys, discover nearby Aqueduc de Roquefavour and the collections of the small archaeological museum presented in the premises of the tourism office. Ten years of excavations of the Groupe d'Etudes Archéologiques de Ventabren made on the site of Oppidum de Roquefavour, also called Camp des Romains or Baou de Mario, allowed the exhumation of objects that show a Celtic-Ligurian occupation instead of that of a former Roman camp, a perennial popular belief.
