THE CHURCH OF SAINT-MARCELLIN
Church built around the century, its beauty lies mainly in its exterior
Built around the 13th century, enlarged around 1530 and then partly destroyed by fire in 1692, the church has nevertheless retained many of its original features. Its beauty lies mainly in its exterior. Its portal is preceded by two lions in pink Guillestre marble, known as "stylophores". The capitals are richly decorated with mascarons and shells in homage to the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, while a beautiful rose window adorns the façade.
