This museum is housed in the former home of Jean and Paulette Angladon-Dubrujeaud, heirs of the fashion designer Jacques Doucet. This patron of the arts spent his life collecting the works of the major artists of his time. The collection was eventually bequeathed to a foundation in Avignon created by Paulette Angladon-Dubrujeaud. An impressive collection of paintings, drawings, furniture and objets d'art by Chardin, Vernet, Cézanne, Degas, Manet, Sisley, Van Gogh, Modigliani and Picasso.
