Restaurant that offers a cuisine that is worth the trip, according to the season in Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
Our favorite is Hugo Loridan Fombonne, who runs the kitchen at Les Fines Roches, where he was second-in-command until 2018. His signature dish is well worth the trip if you're a fan of sweetbreads, seasonally adapted, confit in red wine, served with salsify and artichokes from Provence. You can sit indoors in the chic, cosy dining room or, in summer, on the château's terrace, and enjoy your meal and the view over the estate's vineyards,

Formidable, l endroit magnifique le personnel bienveillant cuisine de grande qualité les chambres superbes tous les ingrédients réunis pour passer un excellent séjour.

This is a lovely hotel that oozes charm and character. It is ideal in summer when alfresco dining is possible, but I am not sure there are enough indoor public areas of sufficient quality to make this a destination for the colder months. Food is of a good standard, without being outstanding. Views to the Rhone are outstanding and the rooms are comfortable and well decorated. Recommended.
