DOMAINE DE LA CHARBONNIÈRE
Domaine de la Charbonnière has been in the Maret family since 1912. Today, it's Michel and his daughters Caroline and Véronique who have taken over this beautiful vineyard comprising 19 ha in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, 4.33 ha in Vacqueyras and almost 2 ha in Côtes-du-rhône. La Charbonnière has won numerous awards for its consistency. Discerning wine-lovers will notice a fine range of Châteauneuf wines, notably the red Cuvée des Hautes Brusquières. Rich in a pleasant aromatic palette, this is a tannic wine with a lovely structure. Cuvée Mourre des Perdrix, on the other hand, is beautifully harmonious. The Cuvée des Vieilles Vignes expresses the breed of fine Grenache (also Mourvèdre) with a smooth yet deep body.
