Rectangular building flanked by a stair tower, now hosting temporary exhibitions in Cucuron
It is the preserved part of the seigniorial castle of Cucuron located on the Saint-Michel hill. It dates from the 9th or 10th century and was abandoned in the middle of the 17th century by the Oraison family. This rectangular building, flanked by a stair tower added at the end of the 16th century, bears the traces of numerous alterations. It is entered through a lintel door decorated with an embrace, and the upstairs room is accessed via a spiral staircase. This room, vaulted lengthwise, is still on the rock. It now houses the temporary exhibitions.
