The oldest "blood mill" in the region, preserved intact with all its working tools, located in a park in Gordes.
It was while renovating a house that this Gallo-Roman site was discovered. 2,000 years ago, olive oil was already being produced! The visit is amazing because it takes place in the cellar of the house. But the most impressive room is the 17th century wooden press. It's a 7 t and 10 m long oak trunk which is a marvel of technology! It is the last one in the Mediterranean basin. You will see a very beautiful collection of oil lamps but also jars and amphoras and... the history of Marseille soap!
