BOUILLON MUSEUM
Musée des Bouillons, located on a Gallo-Roman site in Gordes, the oldest oil mill in the region, classified as a historic monument
Situated on a 2,000-year-old inhabited Gallo-Roman site, this listed oil mill has preserved its rock-cut vats and Roman pipes since the 1st century, as well as its presses, including a monumental 7-ton, 10-meter-long one dating from the 16th century. A huge 3.20 m-high dolium welcomes you at the entrance. This is a place steeped in the history of olive oil, a Mediterranean symbol for centuries. Right next door, visit the superb glass and stained glass museum, also a thousand years old.
