HOUSE JANE EAKIN
A very moving place and very inhabited by art and beauty
Jane Eakin was an American painter, a free woman, a friend of Joe Downing, who rubbed shoulders with the greatest, including General de Gaulle. She chose to live here in the 1970s after buying this house. When she died in 2002, the house was bequeathed to the village and became a very intimate and personal museum of the artist. Here you can discover nearly 40 years of memories but also familiar objects that tell the story. It is a very moving place and very much inhabited by art and beauty. A slightly different stopover.
