THE OLD VILLAGE
Go there and contact
A village that bears witness to the intense religious life of Oppède's past.
The village, abandoned in the last century, is gradually being restored. Crossing a large terraced garden, you have a magnificent view of the village from a belvedere. Also worth a look are the old hospital and the troglodytic oil mill. On the right, the Grand Rue, lined with the restored Maison des Chanoines, bears witness to the intense religious life of yesteryear. The cobbled alleyways are full of mysteries for you to unravel. The medieval ambience of the castle and collegiate church dominates the whole visit.
