Cabasse, or Casa Bassa in Italian, which translates as house under the village, also means that the estate's roots go back to the 14th century. Alfred, Antoinette Haeni and their son Nicolas run a 15-hectare vineyard using integrated farming methods. Their wines are "ripe, supple and fleshy", like the rosé de Marie-Antoinette Séguret Côtes du Rhône villages, made by bleeding, balanced, round and fresh. Domaine de Cabasse is also a 3-star hotel.

We loved the hotel, our room was perfect and the winery and pool were also great. The village is beautiful too, however our experience at the restaurant was not good, the service was very slow and the male who served us was rude, it made us feel uncomfortable and was such a shame.

Value for money
This is an credibly lovely place to stay. It is at the base of a castle and surrounded by vineyards and close to La Vaison Romaine, a delightful city. The room was nice, clean and comfortable, and of course not large. We ate there several nights and I loved the salmon so much I got it two nights. The staff at the Reception were lovely, particularly the lady who spoke Spanish. Lovely, lovely setting. Wish I were there now.
