ARDELAINE - LIVING MUSEUM OF WOOL AND SHEEP
Go there and contact
Living museum of wool and sheep with a store and a restaurant, a friendly and artisanal place in Saint-Pierreville.
There are not only chestnuts in this country, there are also sheep. Hence the wool! Working with wool is a tradition here, as the living museum of wool and sheep reveals. Here you will discover what goes on behind the scenes of wool, from sheep to sweaters... And in the Ardelaine shop, you will have a choice of knitting yarns, sweaters, quilts and mattresses that are 100% wool, 100% organic and 100% great. The site also houses a restaurant - La Cerise sur l'agneau - and a bookshop. A really complete address. The plus : Ardelaine has the local, ecological and solidarity development fibre. Remember that the Ardelaine team had the audacity in the 1970-1980s to rehabilitate the Saint-Pierreville spinning mill, to learn the trade, and to form a solid team. The SCOP Ardelaine was born in 1982 and since then has continued to innovate, to shine and to keep us warm! The most : all year long, animations, parties, guided tours, training courses and workshops - and even family workshops - on felting, dyeing, knitting, or cushion making... are organized to satisfy the curiosity and the desires of the youngest to the oldest ! The entire program is available on the website. Not to be missed either, the wool festival at the beginning of August with dramatised visits, wool workshops and many other surprises. A convivial and artisanal place which allows to weave a link between local people and visitors from all over the world.

La visite ensuite, avec un excellent guide doué d'humour et des explications claires. La boutique, que de belles choses...!! c'est dit, on y retournera et qui sait, j'ai bien envie de m'acheter une belle robe en laine de chez Ardelaine.
