CHATEAU BIZARD
Château Bizard: a name that seems to come from a story as told to children! And indeed, the history of this castle is an adventure where a child, having grown up, buys back the property of his father, grandfather and even great-grandfather to restore his original vocation! This is what Marc Lépine did, whereas in 1980 Bizard was a large building in poor condition with only 3 hectares of land and it was not until 2003 - almost a quarter of a century ago! - so that the first harvest can take place! Bizard is located in the southern part of the Rhône Valley. The subsoil is composed of calcareous scree on white marl, the high sunshine and the action of the Mistral, wind coming from the north of the Rhone Valley, form a combination of natural factors guaranteeing a quality production: round, powerful and aromatic wines, made from the characteristic grape varieties of the Rhone Valley: syrah and grenache noir, complemented by plants of grenache blanc, roussanne, marsanne, viognier, merlot and cabernet sauvignon, ensuring an organoleptic diversity at the origin of the typical production. Marc Lépine's work is governed by three rules: without rigorous volume management, there is no quality. This is why the quality of production takes precedence over its quantity: the choice of sustainable agriculture, which favours its long-term balance, and the implementation of environmentally friendly and economically viable cultivation techniques and the control of perfect hygiene of equipment and installations in order to avoid any adverse organoleptic changes. This choice allows the excellent ageing of "bizardian" vintages. These are divided into the 3 colours and even into vins de pays and liqueur wines:
White wines from the Rhône Valley Château Bizard, AOC, Grignan-les-adhémar Blanc d'Amour and Blanc de Charme.
Rosé wines from the Rhône Valley Château Bizard, AOC, Grignan-les-adhémar Rosé d'Archas
Red wines from the Rhône Valley Château Bizard, AOC, Grignan-les-adhémar Le Fornas, Montagne de Raucoule and Serre de Courrent
Vins de pays de la vallée du Rhône Château Bizard, IGP Drôme Comté de Grignan : Notre-Dame des Vignes
Bizardine liqueur wine
