Lafuma Mobilier is a manufacturer of garden and camping equipment located in a small village in the Drôme region. Tables, chairs, armchairs and deckchairs have seduced with their quality and trendy design. Part of the Lafuma range was certified as Origine France Garantie in 2015.

History. In 1930, what had previously been a family tannery took off again with the production of backpacks with metal reinforcement. The furniture range was born from Lafuma's famous "canvas tube" know-how. The brand has relied on this expertise to meet the expectations of campers. She launched her first pieces in the early 1950s and co-founded the Spoga sports and camping fair in Germany. He is responsible for many innovations, including the famous clip fastening system and the three-layer Air Comfort® technical mattress. Most recliner models are patented because they include original mechanical devices such as sophisticated kinematics or a revolutionary suspension system. Over the past twenty years, the brand has filed a dozen patents in the furniture sector. It has also launched two legendary models that have made its reputation worldwide: the Relax, an armchair that can be placed in a reclining position, was born in 1961, and the Pop Up, a folding armchair with design curves, in 1992. These have evolved with the trends for a success that is still relevant today.

The furniture division is the second most dynamic division of the group, along with the mountain and surfing divisions. In 2018, it recorded +5.5% additional revenue, thanks in particular to online sales, which increased by 29%. Lafuma Mobilier's next target? Professionals in the hotel and catering industry.

The products. Transat, sunbathing, footrest, chair, table, armchair, cup holder... Particularly robust, these products are also designed to be practical - they are foldable and durable - the canvas of the deckchairs can be changed, for example, to give them a second life. All this with a very studied and trendy design.

Employment. In five years, turnover has risen from €32 million in 2014 to €40.1 million in 2018, 50% of which is generated outside France. The company has 160 employees.
