PEGUE ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM
Visit of the archaeological museum located at Le Pègue, to discover the archaeological excavations, with the Neolithic vestiges.
The collections resulting from archaeological excavations from 1956 to 1985 are on display. The site contains remains dating back to the Neolithic period (4000 BC) and covering the period from the Middle Ages to the 14th century. The Iron Age is well represented. The site has made it possible to precisely trace the encounter between two peoples: the Celts who traditionally inhabited the country, and the Greeks on the other. Also one of the most beautiful collections of pseudo-Ionian ceramics in Europe.
