CHÂTEAU ET CHAPELLE DES HOSPITALIERS
Vestiges of the castle and chapel born from the installation of the order of the Hospitallers of Saint John of Jerusalem, keep in good condition.
Situated in the old village of Poët-Laval, the castle and chapel were born from the settlement of the Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem at the beginning of the 13th century. The site enjoyed great prosperity before the Wars of Religion, which eventually drove the Commanders away and left the site in ruins. The remains of the castle, the chapel, as well as the exceptional and massive keep in perfect condition dominate this "Most beautiful village in France".
