OLD SAINTE-FOY CHURCH
Desecrated church at the top of the village with a breathtaking view of the Rhone valley, hosting exhibitions and concerts.
A historical monument, this 12th century church is a marvel of Romanesque architecture. At the top of the village, it offers an unobstructed view of the Rhône Valley and the Massif Central. In the 19th century, it was abandoned in favour of the new church built further down. André Lhote, a famous cubist painter, and the vulcanologist Haroun Tazieff, former mayor of the village, worked to save and restore this jewel. Now desecrated, it hosts exhibitions and concerts.
