Nostalgic fans of the Tanguy et Laverdure series will love this museum with its 80 or so European fighter planes, some of them American or Soviet (MiGs, Broncos, DC3s, Mirages). Climb aboard the Caravelle or discover the cockpit of a DC-7. Under the converted hangars: models, missiles, ammunition, jet engines, ejector seats... and photos. In the store, 400 souvenir items. New: Comic book reading area and Audioguides via your smartphone.

Opening time and information on EUROPEAN FIGHTER AVIATION MUSEUM
Open all year round. 7 days a week except December 25th and January 1st. November to February, 9am to 12pm and 1:30pm to 5pm. March to June, 9am to 12pm and 1:30pm to 5:30pm. July and August, 9am to 12pm and 1:30pm to 6:30pm. September to October, 9am to 12pm and 1:30pm to 5:30pm. Weekends and public holidays from November to February, 2pm to 5pm; March to October, 2pm to 6:30pm. Ticket office closes ½ hour before museum closing time. Free for children under 7. Adults: €9. Children (aged 7 to 12): €6.

The Musée Européen de l'Aviation de Chasse is located on the Montélimar airfield. Covering an area of over 25,000 m², it features an impressive collection of legendary aircraft, including the Stampe SV4C, Mirage 2000 and Mystère IV. As a major site for the preservation of aeronautical heritage in south-east France, it also exhibits exceptional collections of models and jet engines. You'll also find an on-site museum of military transmissions, featuring a variety of radio transmission equipment.
