History: The company and the brand Olympia were created in 1935 by the Jacquemard family in Romilly-sur-Seine. The name is chosen because of the 1936 Olympic Games. Quickly, the company develops with no less than three socks production sites. In the 1980 s, large sports figures were chosen to carry the brand like Michel Platini and John mcenroe. The Jacquemard family is always at the helm and thanks to its numerous efforts, Olympia becomes leader in the sock market. In 2005, the crisis in the textile industry forced the company to relocate abroad. In 2010, the company was finally picked up by the Knitting of Vosges group and New Olympia company was born. Since then, 30% of the production has been relocated at the Vosges plant.
Particularity: The Olympia collections are manufactured under Respect-Inside, certifying that products are made in compliance with international standards on labor law and respect for the environment.
