VOLONTAIRES POUR LA NATURE
Created in 1994, this association works for the conservation of natural environments, animal and plant species throughout the world. Between 250 and 300 people leave each year, paying a small fee. Volunteers are sent to support scientific programmes for the management of natural environments in collaboration with national parks, associations, conservatories or nature reserves. These programmes are open to everyone from the age of 18 (some are designed for 15-year-olds). The typical volunteer is between 20 and 40 years old and generally speaks English.
