SILK MUSEUM
A museum workshop retracing the history of silk and allowing to better know this ancestral activity in Taulignan.
Taulignan is home to a workshop-museum that stretches a thread back in time. From the white silk unravelling from its cocoon to the weaving of the shimmering fabric, but also from the origins of the silk route. During the silkworm rearing period, from May to September, the visit includes a visual presentation of this ancestral activity. You can see a loom from the end of the 19th century that has been restored and motorized. The shop offers silk fabrics made in France but also in Madagascar and Thailand.
