Zoo offering a possibility to attend the meal of meerkats, with animations around the parrots during the weekends.
Upie Zoo used to be a bird zoo. In recent years, mammals have been added. Today, the 6-hectare park is home to over 700 animals of 160 different species. All categories of the animal kingdom are represented, from parrots to birds of prey, from fennecs to meerkats, from turtles to lemurs, from various European and exotic biotopes. A number of the species on display are involved in conservation programs. Recently, fennecs joined the African zone. The latest arrivals are servals, among the felines. This family-friendly animal park features a mini-farm, a tropical greenhouse and an inflatable play area. Allow at least half a day, but spending the whole day may be an even better idea, especially as it's possible to have lunch at the snack bar from April to October, or to picnic in the park. Recurring events from April to October include a flight of birds of prey and an animated observation of parrots, and from February to October you can watch lemurs, pelicans and meerkats, all in a 100% natural atmosphere. This is a magical place in the Drôme, ideal for a fun and educational family visit. Courses are offered on a variety of themes: birds, birds of prey, an animal species, with dedicated carers for children of different ages and even adults. You can celebrate your birthday at Upie Zoo and even sponsor an animal.
