These meetings are organized by the Société Astronomique de France in partnership with the General Council of the Drôme and the Station de Valdrôme. They are more interested in amateur astronomers seeking an excellent site to make their observations and views… This is what we call a star party, the opportunity also to share his passion, his experience, his tricks, etc. The SAF has not randomly chosen the site because the Valdrôme Station enjoys a very good sky sky (1,400 m). Immediate consequence: nights are sometimes fresh in summer and you must be dressed to enjoy the show. In addition to the observations made with its own equipment, conferences, workshops, etc., are offered (no extra cost). An introductory stage for astronomy for young people aged 10 to 15 is organized in parallel.
