LE SHALIMAR
At the edge of Saint John's Square, Shalimar offers an exotic and peaceful stopover. Atmosphere Thousand and One Nights, a warm welcome and in the plate, traditional Indian dishes, flavoured with herbs and spices, cardamom, nutmeg, cinnamon, cumin, cloves, turmeric, concocted by a chef from Delhi, made from fresh produce. And since we're in an Indian restaurant, we might as well have a tandoori. A favourite is shahi korma chicken prepared with a sauce made from sour cream, tomatoes, almonds and cashew nuts. Interesting option: the tasting menu with seven small dishes: pakora, raïta, palak paneer, murgh makhani, rice and naan with cheese. As for sweets, special mention should be made of Sharbati, a dessert made from coconut ice cream and rose syrup. Takeaway meals.
