Like all fisheries federations, the Drôme is striving to highlight, protect and manage the fishery heritage of the department, and ensure the protection of aquatic environments. The Drômoise federation has a little more than 16 000 members, including a third of young people, distributed in a network of 32 approved Associations for Fisheries and Protection of the Aquatic Environment (AAPPMA) of Drôme and the Association of Amateur anglers. Its website allows you to learn about the rights and duties of the fisherman, to know the fishing spots of the area and even the shops where you buy your fishing cards and bait. Each year, in the framework of the Rhone festivities, the federation programme its traditional fishing competition for children along the canal de Châteauneuf-du-Rhône. Throughout the year, it also proposes introductory days for specialized fisheries. Framed by professional fishing guides, partners of the Federation, you can embark on fly fishing, boat or float fishing at the age of 10 at reasonable costs.
