LES ARCHIVES DE VALENCE
Imagine: these archives focus on 2 linear km! They relate to centuries and centuries and even more than a millennium since they go back to… 1192. The archives of Valencia include the administrative and historical documents of the municipality, but also those of the services of Valencia Valley Sud Rhône-Alpes. The public has access to administrative acts, town planning documents, local history books, and even private funds. On site, two reading rooms allow for consultation of documents. One is dedicated to paper reading, the other to reading the microfilm. Interactive terminals accompany your research. The archivists of the house are also there to guide you (but not to worry that you do the search for your place!) and charge the documents selected to the reading room. An irreplaceable space for those interested in genealogy, the history of a site, a public building and even the "great story" concerning all the registers of the capital of Drôme over the centuries. At the local level it is more effective than Google! There is also the possible consultation of usual, dictionaries, general works and the national and local press. It is also possible to consult these archives on the website.
