ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST CHURCH
This church has a neo-Romanesque bell tower rebuilt in the 19th century and eight exceptional Romanesque capitals
Of medieval origin, this church gives a special charm to Saint John Square, among the most pleasant of Valencia. The Saint-Jean district is in fact one of the oldest parishes in the city. If everyone calls it Saint-Jean, it is in fact the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Church of the xiith century and several times reformed following fires or the deterioration of religious wars. It retains a neo-Roman bell tower rebuilt in the nineteenth century and eight exceptional novels, the only vestiges of the medieval Romanesque church. The square is also known to house the metal halle under which beautiful markets are held. There are also restaurants on the terrace that provide a convivial atmosphere in the right place under the good guard of its church. Open to Catholic worship the church referred to Father Dominique Fornerod, priest of the parish Saint-Émilien.
