GARE DE VALENCE-VILLE
Valence-ville station inaugurated in 1854, with an ashlar façade inspired by the Petit Trianon in Versailles, a historic monument.
If the Valencia TGV station, in Alixan, is of modern architecture, the original one, located in the city centre, is a historical monument. Inaugurated in 1854, it was equipped with a new passenger building in 1865, signed by Louis-Jules Bouchot, Napoleon III's architect. Its ashlar facade is inspired by the Petit Trianon of Versailles and features five large bay windows framed by pilasters with Doric capitals, topped by a colonnaded balustrade. In 2000, the building underwent a major renovation that restored it to its original appearance. On the track side, the station is equipped with a metal hall. Its forecourt has just been renovated.

De passage dans cette gare... pour prendre le train.... je ne vois pas trop l'intérêt d'aller visiter cette gare.
