SQUARE CHARLES-AZNAVOUR
Located at the corner of the Bouffier streets and the Jeu-de-Paume, this downtown area has been refurbished by the City services in square square of 420 m ², opened in the presence of the artist in the early 2010 s. Near the Patrimoine heritage centre and this Bouffier street, which welcomed many Armenians, it is a peaceful and pleasant place, with chairs, pavés, grass and large trees whose shadow we appreciate. This tribute to Charles Aznavour has a double legitimacy, on the one hand, this is romantic square for music and poetry lovers; on the other hand, Valencia has a particular history with Armenia whose family of Charles Aznavour comes from. Indeed, Valencia is the city or the largest community of Armenian people in France. The city was able to welcome Armenians fleeing the genocide. Valencia is twinned with Itchévan.
