THE OLD TOWN CENTRE
Go there and contact
The oldest and one of the liveliest neighborhoods in the city.
It is the oldest and most lively area of the city, with more than 500 small shops, restaurants, bars, historical buildings and administrative services. It is appreciated that its entire central part is pedestrianised. Among the remarkable buildings, in addition to the Maison des Têtes, are the Halle Saint-Jean, the town hall, the prefecture, the courthouse and the town theatre. A stroll through the city centre of Valence is neither lacking in charm nor romanticism, as long as you linger on the Champ de Mars. A visit with a greeter or a heritage guide adds to the interest of its discovery.
