MUSÉE DE LA PRÉHISTOIRE DU VERCORS
Museum presenting the vestiges of the workshop and restoring the ways of life of men of the prehistoric period.
In 1970, Doctor Michel Malenfant, president of the Vercors Prehistoric Research Centre, discovered a scree with a large quantity of cut flint. Excavations then followed which brought to light a production site for large blades where craftsmen-carvers from the final Neolithic period, between 2700 and 2400 BC, worked. The museum displays the remains of the workshop and reconstructs the lifestyles of people in prehistoric times.
