Abbey of Abondance endowed with a small museum of religious art and ludic spaces, offering an in-depth visit, free or guided.

Founded in the 12th century, the abbey is a listed historic monument and an emblematic site in the Abondance valley. Today, visitors can stroll through the cloister and discover several original sculptures. They can also admire remarkable 11th-century murals depicting scenes from the life of the Virgin Mary. A guided tour will tell you all about their history. The church is also worth a visit, as is the orchard, which offers a lovely view from the outside.

La visite de cette abbaye nous permet de découvrir de belles peintures murales et des objets d'art sacrés. Cela permet de faire une pause en s'instruisant. L'exposition nous permet de parcourir le site tout en découvrant de beaux objets religieux que l'on voit rarement.

Cette abbaye est un peu le témoignage de la vallée, dont elle retrace 9 siècles d'histoire. Il convient de visiter le cloître et ses peintures murales, ainsi que l'église , son mobilier et ses peintures en trompe l’œil.
