LA FOLIE DOUCE HÔTELS
Chic refuge-hotel with a small kitchen and family rooms at reasonable prices.
The old Savoy palace, renovated in 1900 style, has become La Folie Douce Hôtels. Well known to Val d'Isère skiers for its festive atmosphere on the slopes, the group has been investing in the Haute-Savoie mountains for several years now and is launching into the hotel business in 2019 at the Chamonix international site. In refuge-hôtel chic mode, combining a decoration of raw materials combining stone, concrete and wood, with the comfortable materials of carpets, rugs and velvet fabrics, favouring convivial relaxation, a tasteful comfort in the premium rooms and suites - some of which have a balcony opening onto the Mont-Blanc massif - which include access to the heated outdoor swimming pool and spa - protected access allows you to enjoy them all year round. As a bonus, numerous services with a boutique, a bar and five restaurants, including La Fruitière, faithful to its reputation, and La Petite Cuisine, which hosts shows - in the evening in summer, in après-ski in winter. Families are welcome with family rooms for 6 people and a children's club - in high season - with entertainment programmes specially designed for them. Services, comfort and prices studied.

Some annoyances, like the shower was slow to drain, the free WiFi was slower than treacle, and that the cleanliness of the Spa was subpar.
But the rooms were nice, it had a good atmosphere, and a good location.
Rooms : they have the worst beds i have ever experienced in any hotel
One week past from my trip and i still have backpain ! You definitely need a message session after checking out .
Location : this is the best thing about this hotel , great location !
Customer service is sub par, checked in, and did not get anything about where to go, amenities location, and no bell boy to help with luggage.
Requested to talk to the concierge about booking some ski classes, can’t, the representative is at lunch for 2 hours and no one is covering for him.
Room stinks to cigar smoke heavily, mentioned this to the person checking people in, they sent somebody to “spray” the room. Now it smells like cigar with roses.
This was supposed to be a nice vacation but it really fell short of everything on that regards.
Location is prime though, however for over $380 per night, I expected much more.
L’endroit est top et la nourriture également.
Super soirée
