HÔTEL JEU DE PAUME * * * *
Nestled in the hamlet of Du, away from Chamonix, the charming chalet-hotel, all wood, overlooks Argentière Valley and Praz. Designed by architect Guy Prache - the creator of the wonderful hotel du Jeu de Paume sur l'Isle Saint-Louis in Paris - which has been able to breathe rather than a particularly warm and intimate atmosphere, the large chalet at the turn of an old mansion has a personal memories of travel. Antique furniture and objects adorn the various lounges where you relax in the evening, before or after the meal. There is also a cocktail bar and a billiards pool. Comfortable - some are equipped with a spa bath - the rooms have a view over the entire valley and extend to Chamonix needles and Red Needles massif. Behind large windows overlooking the garden, the indoor swimming pool and the whole sauna sauna provide a pleasant relaxation space. In the cosy restaurant of Rosebud's refined restaurant, Chef Eric de Ganck reinvented a classic kitchen with a touch of land and world cuisine. For skiers, there is a private shuttle bus to the centre of Chamonix and the various ski fields. Personal luxury!
