LE DARBELIN CHEZ MIREILLE
Restaurant at the foot of the slopes in Cordon with terrace where you can enjoy ancestral recipes and the snack version at noon.
A must at Cordon! The former hay barn, transformed into a high-altitude chalet restaurant, is held from mother to daughter in the middle of the mountain pastures, at the foot of the slopes and lifts, in winter. In the cosy room, all made of wood, energized by the curtains in the colours of Savoy (red and white) and the fabric tablecloths, you can enjoy Mireille's ancestral recipes (stuffing, potato fritters, Berthoud, Savoyard fondue with three cheeses) but also scallops deglazed with mango vinegar, duck foie gras with quince marmalade or a generous grilled entrecote... depending on the season's market. At noon, practical for skiers, a snack version. The setting is enchanting! The balcony terrace overlooking the Tête de Platé needle and the Mont-Blanc chain, the summer garden with a bench to enjoy the view and some tables for lunch with large families. It feels good there. An adjoining set of balls is even available to digest in a friendly way. The service is attentive, the desserts are sublime and the hot chocolate is authentic!
