Mémoire du Maquis, a site managed by the Haute-Savoie Department of Remembrance and Citizenship at Glières-Val-de-Borne.
The Mémoire du Maquis site at Glières-Val-de-Borne provides an opportunity to discover the history of the Resistance during the Second World War. Inaugurated in 2009, this cultural and historical center is located opposite the Monument National de la Résistance, an emblematic sculpture erected in 1973. The building houses temporary exhibitions and a projection room showing the courage and sacrifice of the maquisards. Guided tours and events enhance the experience. The tour continues at the Morette site, the departmental museum of the Resistance in Haut-Savoie and the departmental deportation memorial.
