LES GENTIANETTES * * * *
One of the finest chalets-hotels in the Chapel-d'Abondance, certified «Hotels Chalets of Tradition», which acts as a true jewel in this mountain landscape, is the Portes du Soleil. Summer is an ocean of flowers and greenery, and winter, a white coat that offers the guarantee to take full advantage of the joy of glisse. And all year round it is the insurance to be received in a comfortable chalet, with garden, covered swimming pool, hammam, sauna, whirlpool, massages… Decorated in Savoyard style by Claude and Nathalie Trincaz, the 36 rooms are comfortable, comfortable and equipped with modern facilities - flat screen TV and alarm clock with a welcome station for Ipod and Iphone. Children are received in great princes and a superb space is dedicated to them. The charm, refinement and conviviality also invite you to the table of Claude Trincaz who is also the chef of the kitchen. Caring, inventive, its dishes defy all the photographs of a heavy and indigestible mountain cuisine. These achievements are rich in aromas of flavours and perfumes, and blend with the authenticity of local products. Breakfast is also of high quality, and it is a pleasure to enjoy a white white cheese with mountain honey or homemade jams. The decoration of this house disperse here and there small winks of the surrounding mountains. The first floor refers to the mountain trades, the second to alpine flowers, the third to alpine animals and the fourth to altitude sports. And if you're lost, you get back to the elevator! A unique family address, as you would like to find more often… for which new distinctions should be invented.
