Au plain château is a beautiful establishment with an intimate atmosphere. The 25 seats inside encourage one to reserve in advance. If the cuisine is familial and inventive, it is recommended not to come with young children for the place is small. The message is passed across by minced words for there is no children's menu on the outside menu and automatically you decide to come with a lover. The reception is warm and pleasant in this former wine cellar with a medieval architecture - low and vaulted ceilings, stone walls and wooden beams. You feel the weight of the years in this beautiful establishment, nicely decorated with chandeliers, old accessories and figurines of legend while the menu offers succulent dishes. It is difficult to make a choice between the autumnal starters: calf's head with ravigote sauce, terrine quail with morels or Savoyard tart with its walnut salad. The dishes are not to be left out, blanquette of scallops with ceps, deer steak with cranberries, duck breast with cherries and lamb steak with creamed garlic are all very delicious. You know in advance that you will have a good time and so is the case! And every lunchtime, a menu of the day is offered at very affordable prices for you to enjoy a delicious cuisine.
