CHARTREUSE DU REPOSOIR
The site boasts many remarkable features, including an entrance portal dating from 1671, a cloister...
Nestled at the foot of the Béol valley lake, with the majestic pointe d'Almet (2,232 m), the former Carthusian monastery dating back to the 12th century has been home to a Carmelite nunnery since 1932. Due to its difficult access during the winter season, a visit is recommended in summer to fully appreciate the site that houses the Carmelite monastery. What's more, it offers the opportunity to enjoy an audiovisual presentation retracing the history of Le Reposoir. But whatever the season, this visit is an enriching experience and an unforgettable walk.
