Only the bulbous bell tower remains of this baroque church built in the 18th century.
Of the baroque church built in the 18th century, only the bulbous bell tower remains, which survived two demolitions. With the exception of the bell tower, the entire church was rebuilt in the mid-19th century in the Sardinian neoclassical style, as it was in danger of collapsing. Having become dilapidated, it was demolished again in 1956 to make way for a "new" church designed by the Haute-Savoie architect Maurice Novarina, a native of Thonon-les-Bains (who designed, among other things, the sublime church of Notre-Dame-de-Toutes-Grâces in Passy, the town hall in Grenoble and the Bonlieu centre in Annecy). It was during the consecration of the new church in 1958 that it took as its patron Saint Maurice, patron saint of the Duchy of Savoy.
