HÔTEL MONT-BLANC * * * *
It is a very "Parisian" charming hotel of the 1950s and 1960s, whose bar was sponsored by Jean Cocteau - he left an original fresco there - and whose restaurant Les Enfants Terribles (in art deco and modern style) pays tribute to this artist. The Hôtel du Mont-Blanc has seen many stars seal part of their media history there: Roger Vadim and Brigitte Bardot, Juliette Gréco, Françoise Sagan, Dalida, Sacha Distel... It was also the location of Roger Vadim's Dangerous Liaisons (with Boris Vian and Gérard Philippe) and is now part of Megève's cultural heritage. Engravings and an original fresco by Cocteau, pottery pieces from the Jean Marais workshops decorate this superb hotel, taken over in 1994 by Jocelyne and Jean-Louis Sibuet (Les Fermes de Marie). Since then, it has been continuously renovated and its comfort improved. In 2013, new suites mix the authentic English-Austrian style with some contemporary touches of black or gold, leopard, or decorate themselves with a poetic mural fresco. A Pure Altitude Spa completes the hotel complex with refinement: you can slip into the immaculate world of an ice cave with delight. A mythical place, pleasantly located in the centre of the village and a stone's throw from the cable cars!
