LE PALACE DE MENTHON
Restaurant located on the shores of the lake offering a menu of the day composed according to the market products.
On the shores of the lake, we discover a magnificent place. Overlooking the lake, the setting of the Palace of Menthon, a superb neoclassical building that has been completely renovated, is magical. From the glass rotunda of the Viu restaurant, the panorama is magnificent. We settle into a décor of both retro and contemporary inspiration, with the lake as a backdrop, at well-kept tables to enjoy a seasonal cuisine. The fine and tasty cuisine of chef Sébastien Lefortier, companion chef of the Tour de France, who studied with the great chef Emmanuel Renault, is inspired by the products of the Alps. The menus change every two or three months and are made from products from the lake and the mountains - but not only - and are accompanied by a beautiful wine list. The daily menu is composed according to the products of the market. In the evening, the tasting menu is to be chosen in 4 to 8 courses from the seasonal menu: thus, you can be tempted by a nun of foie gras from the Landes in hot-cold and stewed strawberry rhubarb; a filet of Saint-Pierre de Bretagne with chanterelles and garlic pesto from the Savoyard bears; a lemon meringue and hazelnuts from Piemonte. Charming welcome, attentive service. The south terrace, on sunny days, overlooking the lake, adds to the pleasure of the lunch hour. In July and August, the beach bar, in the gardens by the water, offers a pleasant alternative with dishes with fusion accents such as this kutuna tuna with avocado, quinoa, peanut and enoki mushrooms. An address with an enchanting charm!
