In Mieussy, where paragliding was born in France, there is a school with a reputation for flying and learning to fly in complete safety.
Les Choucas is the first paragliding school in France. And for good reason, paragliding was born here in Mieussy in 1978. This kind of wing-shaped parachute - the wing of a jackdaw, a bird of prey well known to the Savoyards - has been taught since 1979 and was the reason for the creation of the school. You start with a two-seater baptism, sitting in front of the instructor in a sort of suspended seat. The school is now focusing on the progression of pilots who are already equipped.
