SCRATCH OVERPASS
The Égratz viaduct is an impressive structure located in Passy, Haute-Savoie. It was built between 1977 and 1981 to double the length of the old road between Le Fayet and Chamonix. The viaduct connects Passy to Servoz, and is used as an ascending route, while the old road serves as a descending one. With a total length of 2275 meters, it is the 17th longest bridge in France. The viaduct piers range in height from 18 to 68 meters. The Égratz viaduct offers spectacular views of the Arve valley and the Chamonix peaks. Its imposing dimensions and modern architecture make it an interesting subject for photographers. The viaduct is accessible all year round and offers a lovely walk for visitors wishing to admire the surrounding Alpine scenery.
