THE WORKSHOP OF THE SCULPTOR ROBERT RAMEL
Museum of Rumilly's works, located in a pavilion at the end of a courtyard.
Near the former Lait Mont-Blanc factories and the Rumilly bowling alley, in a pavilion at the back of a courtyard, the studio of sculptor Robert Ramel (1929-1997) has become an exhibition museum for his works. More than 150 sculptures and models: on wood, stone, alabaster, granite, bronze... The work of a lifetime, begun with a first one at the age of 9. The sculptor played both chisel and jackhammer and did not fail to express his sensitivity. He is the author of numerous monuments for the region - including La Famille, in the Novel district of Annecy, and two wooden sculptures for the church of Vallières - and has exhibited in several European countries. We will also discover many portraits and drawings of this endearing artist.
