SAINT-GERVAIS-LES-BAINS VIADUCT
The Saint-Gervais-les-Bains viaduct is an impressive structure located in the town of Saint-Gervais-les-Bains. It was built as part of the town's bypass to relieve traffic congestion in the town center. The viaduct represents a real architectural and technological feat, integrating numerous constraints such as a long span imposing a central span of 170 meters and a difficult topography. Despite these constraints, the viaduct has managed to preserve the surrounding landscape and the ruins of the Châtelet fortified house. The viaduct is 240 metres long and 11.90 metres wide, with a 13-metre mixed truss deck. The viaduct was built in 2012 by the Conseil général de la Haute-Savoie, in collaboration with Strates architects.
