WWOOF ASSOCIATION
Created in 1971, the international organisation Willing Workers on Organic Farms (WWOOF) connects organic farmers with travellers who want to stop for a while on a farm to work and learn more about the world of organic farming. WWOOFing is created! Volunteers participate in the activities of the farm: market gardening, gardening, permaculture, learning organic farming and all agricultural work. This is about four to six hours a day, in exchange for accommodation and food. There are WWOOF-affiliated farms all over the world, including 500 in France. To know them, you must be a member of the association. An innovative and at the very least original form of tourism! In Haute-Savoie, for example, about fifteen structures house WWOOFers.
